I had a great visit with our friends at the lake on the weekend, and Brad got a lot of work done on the cottage (with the help of some good friends). I am feeling good, have had a couple of bike rides, and plan to go to the Folk Festival this weekend. Dreading chemo next week but just avoiding thinking about it right now.
Have a great week everyone!
One thing that I learned from cancer is not to look too far into the future. There are just too many what ifs and maybes and coulds. Savor what is on your plate right now.
ReplyDeleteI think Debby has it exactly right. Celebrate today as best you can.
ReplyDeleteI have learnt this about cancer, live each day for what it is and what you can manage to do. Thanks for all your comments on my blog Beth xx
ReplyDeleteLove what you do with bad food post chemo - you are a fellow Polly Anna!!! Shall we start a club?
HI Beth; Just wanted to drop a line to say how much I enjoy reading your blog (of course the "good days" are much more enjoyable to read). But even on the days when you don't feel great, it is nice to check in and see how positive and upbeat you are. You look fabulous, and as other people have said, you are the epitome of the expression "bald is beautiful". Interestingly I have read all books on your list, but '13 reasons.....' within the last 6 months, and also enjoyed them. I found that kinda cool! I hope your next chemo round isn't as hard as last. Just know that many people are thinking of you and wishing you well!! Take care Deb (TADF)
ReplyDeleteHi Beth, It is nice to read up on your blog. I have been asking everyone how you are doing. You look great and your outlook warms my heart. Take care.
ReplyDeletePS. I am running my first half marathon in Oct! - Carrie Rasmussen
