Feeling good 6 days post-chemo #2

I went from feeling about 70% yesterday to feeling 100% today. Not all of my energy is back, but enough to go for a walk (in the rain), go shopping, and meet a friend for coffee!

Last time my energy took longer to come back (assuming of course it's back to stay now). This time the queasiness lasted longer (wasn't as bad, but was still there and hung on longer). Hopefully this means I have 2 good weeks ahead of me before the next chemo. And tomorrow is the last neupogen injection (which must not have been causing the queasiness since I feel okay today).

I am amazed I can give myself the injections. Really amazed at the things we all do because we have to.

  1. So glad you are feeling better this time round, for me it just got worse each time. I go for more chemo on Thursday but it is a different sort, not to be as nasty (fingers crossed). My friend works for Bristol Meyers and she recommended the N injections for my lethargy. I am so tired all of the time but I am still having periods so I seem to be dealing with 2 things at the same time

  3. Beth, I am so glad you are feeling better and with the neupogen injections it does make it easier. I was a chicken and got my husband to give me mine, lol.
Thank you for what you wrote on my blog. I am so glad that it has helped you. I think that even if our blogs can help just one person it is worth the time we take to blog.
I hope that Winnipeg weather improves for you soon.
    Hugs
    Jill.

  4. So glad that things are going ok for you! And a walk in the rain ---- I'd love to do that with you, for sure!

You are so right -- it IS amazing what we can do when we have to. I never in a million years thought I could go through all of this, but I did! So if I can, anyone can do it. I think of you often, and pray for you. You're an inspiration to so many, I know!
