I had my eyes checked today because they seem worse since chemo (all those days of watery eyes). Only a very slight change from a year ago, so no glasses yet. Probably in the next year or two I'll be right into bi-focals (since both my near and far sightedness is a bit off).
I am still having a bit of a problem with depth perception, but he suggested that is likely from fatigue, which makes sense to me.
Next week is my hearing test, as well as physio for my arm.
Hi Beth. I just sent you an email about chemo fog and a meeting about it in Winnipeg on the 28th. It is also being done as a video conference here at our clinic at the same time and I will be attending this one.
ReplyDeleteI have also noticed a change in my eyes and will have to get them checked again soon.
Take care.
Hi Beth, when I was at the end of my chemo I was getting headaches and seeing floaters so I got my eyes checked and was prescribed some very weak reading glasses which really helped.
ReplyDeleteHowever, my optition is old school, eccentric and dyslexic!! He explained everything so clearly to me about how the tension in my neck interfered with blood flow to my head and therefore eyes and he could see the damage that chemo had done to the blood vessels etc. He assurred me that they would heal and my glasses will last me a long long time. He thinks chemo has just brought my problem forward a year or two.
Glad to hear your eyes are ok....it never ends, this chemo, cancer journey
ReplyDeleteI understand.....
